Pop-o-thym | Cours Saleya, 20.

We consider it to be the best creperie in town!

The charming owner Jean-Marie is there most of the time: he would welcome you there as a special guest. He would make you laugh and cook delicious breakfast you would remember! Besides that, they have incredible lunches, salads and perfect sweet cider.

Here you have a breakfast side by side to artists and see them creating their masterpieces here: painters always have a good composition on their mind!

Another treat is local pizza with champignons and tomatoes: we love to have it take away just by the Sea. Our favourite one is from La Fougasserie

  Discover healthy food in Nice

Paper Plane | 14, rue Gubernatis

Healthy trend hasn't missed Nice making it the right place to try delicious healthy food as more and more restaurants have been opened recently all over the town. They are specially good for those who perceive vegan is more healthy than delicious because these places prove you they are both!

As a rule, friendly owners most of the time are present to welcome you in their cute restaurants always decorated with love.

One of our favourites, Paper Plane, was opened in 2015 by a charming couple and has become one of the most popular ones!

Their Sunday brunches become favourite tradition for both: locals and travellers. We loved their carrot cake, smoothies and avocado toast but you can definitely trust the owners to recommend you something special.

Find your sweet home in Nice

Maisons du Monde | Nice Etoile, 30 Avenue Jean Médecin

Bringing home something cozy from Nice is one of my favourite traditions: even though it's called "home of the world", it would always keep your memories of trip to Nice. It would warm up in your daily life and remind of the best moments: the smell of the parfum, the touch of the blanket, the light of the lamps and the smile you gave that picture with a deer when you saw it for the first time.

Besides that Maisons du Monde is the best place to choose the souvenirs for your dearest ones: as a gift from your trip, for their birthday or a gift without any reason but with a special meaning instead.

Find your own style collected out of the best from all over the world with a personal touch.

For those who are fond of cooking the next door shop Alice Délice is highly recommended: in this cooking boutique you would find everything! From unusual cocktails glassware and dry mixes to the decorations of the cake. And don't miss their small chocolates with curious tastes that would become a perfect compliment for your dearest ones or even for you!

Take a ride on a fairy wheel

Located just by the main square called Place Masséna, Promenade du Paillon is the most loved place by the children of all ages: even if they are already called adults. From November till March you have a chance to enjoy magnificent view if you take a ride on a big Ferris Wheel and share your best pictures with everyone #niceislove!

Take a walk further along the parc and get impressed how bright it is any time of the year and is always a great idea for sport-lovers!

In Nice outside activities can be easily combined with cultural ones! The building just in front of it is National Theatre of Nice: if you have enough time visit is highly recommended: sometimes there are performances in english! (check the schedule on their website and follow the updates: on instagram)

Another stop which is almost just the next-door is the Museum of Modern and Contemprorary Art (MAMAC).

Great bonus is a fantastic view over the city (but better ask if it is open, may be closed sometimes): 360 degrees with red rooftops. Being here at the golden hour watching the sunset and get a chance to see how the lights of the city turn on may become your next dream!

Wander around the old town of Vieux Nice

The old town of Nice has absolutely proven to be the soul of the town and perfect for creating stories, exchanging inspiration and celebrating life! Just go and keep wandering and share with us your discoveries.

You would hardly remember the names of the streets but you would recognize them by nice and simple memories that would happen to you here and there.

...the square, where you've tried lavender ice-cream Fenocchio (2, Place Rossetti).

It is there out of nowhere you've heard live music performed by street musicians just in front of the church.

You wonder how it looks from above and waving people sitting on the balcony on the upper floor!

And then you also raised a glass of Aperol Spritz with adorable Nina, a boutique owner at the opposite terrace.

BREAKFAST TIME: CROISSANT OR PAIN AU CHOCOLAT?

You will find it following the smell.

We are in love with palmiers. And the morning that tastes like fresh berries tartine tastes like good old childhood. And croissants...

To have a proper French morning by the Sun you better choose a place outside.

Boulangerie Pâtisserie Jeannot (The Old town area | 8, rue Saint-François de Paule)

Cafe Le Déli Bo (Port Area | 5, rue Bonaparte)

And still there is something in carrying home hot baking like a very special gift: especially if you woke up early while your friends or loved ones are still asleep!

Here are the places for take away we love:

Multari (Carre d'or area | 3, rue Maccarani)

Boulangerie Jean Marc Bordonnat (Port area | 19, rue Barla)

Le Four a Bois (The Old town | 35, rue Droite)

Don't forget about jams (we love small Bonne Maman miniatures!), honey and nutella! It's the art of changing taste with such a small touch!

SEND POSTCARDS TO YOUR DEAREST ONES

Collect and share your happy moment with your beloved people.

When did you send a printed postcard for the last time? Do you remember that wonderful feeling of getting those pieces and emotions?

Write down there what makes you feel inspired and touched, what you see around and what makes you smile, what you want to remember and what you would show your friend next time you are here together.

Nice is Love postcards are available in the old town:

Les Délices de Candice | 17, rue de la Préfecture (check open hours), pretty vintage jewelry shop. Collect the addresses of your family and friends right now, not leaving it for the last moment.

  BRING FRESH FLOWERS HOME

Open hours: every day from the early morning, except Monday (Sunday till 1PM).

While on Monday the street turns into Antique and Flea fair, full of objects from the incredible french past full of spirit of mystery and legends. The merchants organize improvised tables and waiting for you with a glass of champagne. Try to learn two or three french phrases and you'll see how friendly they become: "Bonjour, madame, monsieur! Vous avez une très belle collection".

After, you can try to bargain for a better price.

On the afternoon, there is a great ambience for an apero time, you can sit with a glass at the restaurants with cuisine all over the world all along the street and have your people watching time.

Probably the most picturesque movie-like view is performed from this terrace just on the corner from the end of Cours Saleya. You can easily spend here half of the day with a coffee and dessert but mostly probably would end up with one of the good-looking refreshing cocktails trying their menu.

Inspired by surf spirit this place is worth to start your journey in Nice!

Since the region has great choice of outdoor activities from jogging to paragliding, it defines the menu for locals and travellers.

Today Nice has a great variety of amazing restaurants with Sunday brunches and menus of many include proper avocado toasts, poached eggs and vegan fresh salads:

La Popote D'Ondine | 18-20 rue Gioffredo, blueberry bagels, smoothies and avocado toasts;

Marinette Kitchen | 13 rue Colona d'Istria, home-made food with great taste;

Paper Plane | 10, rue Gubernatis, check chia breakfasts and vegan burgers

  TAKE AWALK AROUND BOULEVARDS

Having combined the feeling of sweet village with the city spirit, Nice has lots of pretty boulevards which immediately teleport you to Paris.

Classy and chic go hand by hand here showing you another angle of the town surrounding by gentle lights and picturesque shadows of rue Maréchal Joffre and boulevard Victor Hugo.

CLIMB UP TO CHATEAU DE NICE FROM PROMENADE DES ANGLAIS

The best view on Nice is mostly often seen on every postcard. The city and Bay of Angels lies just in front of you saying: "the World is yours!". Maybe this is the reason why people come back here so often again and again.

You should find the stairs just in front of "Suisse" hotel and keep going up. There is also an elevator but I promise you it's much worth of taking the stairs stopping to see how the view is changing.

You will often find there someone playing guitar and happy people sharing this view.

It's a great place to watch sunset or just to have a picnic: that's what people do sitting nearby in summer.

GO TO MONT BORON ON SUNSET

That was one of the most breathtaking discoveries for which I would like to say thank you to a great artist James Pouliot of 19 Rivoli , you can easily organize here a romantic date, picnic or even a surprise engagement photoshoot!

We went to Mont Boron to meet the sunset after a long grey day and unexpectedly the sky started cleaning up: that was like an incredible performance!

This place is absolutely incredible for a date, intimate birthday or just a confession of love while watching the sunset!

We took a ride by car to the 42 Route Forrestière Mont Boron and then it took our breath away: the sea embracing the sun in golden sceneries was simply magic... You can visit this place on your last day in Nice - I promise, after that you won't help to come back. And Take your favourite drink to raise a glass to celebrate this gorgeous place!

CHOOSE YOUR FAVORITE BOAT AT LE PORT

The prettiest place at the Port is called Pointus full of colourful boats! They all have the name and are around 50-60 years old. Choose the one you like the most and have a take-out pizza from one of the restaurants just steps away and make friends with a dog or just enjoy this place sitting on the dock.

DISCOVER UNIQUE LE PLONGEOIR BETWEEN THE LAND AND THE SEA

IMG_3254.JPG

Le Plongeoir | 60 Boulevard Franck Pilatte

If you ask about another miracle of the World on Cote d'azur this would be definitely #1. Situated literally between the land and the Sea it embraces you with inspiration and feeling of freedom! The restaurant has two areas: one is over the land and second, over the sea. To get to the second one, you need to ask if it is available at arrival.

The restaurant has a long story: at the end of the 19th century a stylish fishing boat was secured on the rock where people could eat and drink 6 metres above the Sea and soon has become emblematic of Nice.

In 2015 it has been reopened after more than 40 years! Besides that, it's one of the greatest spots to watch the sunset!

Better arrive 1,5h before to see the golden hour and watch the sun going down. If there are no private reservations, there is a special area, available for a breathtaking view pictures without other people.

The restaurant has also its lounge bar for chilling with a glass.

Check opening hours on @leplongior, may vary depending on weather.

GET CHARMED BY PLACE GARIBALDI

Beautiful Place Garibaldi embracing the old town from the side of the Port, warmly loved by locals. After enjoying delicious oysters at Le Cafe de Turin (5, place Garibaldi) situated just in front of the square, you can choose one of the restaurants for dinner or even try yourself in tango: if you are lucky enough, you will see dancing couples of different ages there, just in front of the tables.

EXPLORE LE MARAIS OF NICE

Located close to the Port this trendy area was created just a few years ago and is called "Le Marais" of Nice compared to the similar district of Paris.

Lively bars, good music, dresses & heels, chic glasses and lots of creative people - those great vibes that make you part of life celebration. Head to rue Bonaparte and just go from bar to another based on your own inner feeling and share your impressions.

Le Deli Bo would be the best choice for breakfastor lunch.

Comptoir Central Electrique (10, rue Bonaparte) and Le Cafe des Chineurs (1, rue Cassini) are definitely the places you can choose in the afternoon for apero or more. They both would pleasantly surprise you with exceptional cocktails.

And just on the corner you will find rue Bavastro which leads you to rue Lascaris where chic delicious experience of Michelin restaurant JAN (12, rue Lascaris) is waiting for you.

Rosalina Bar (16, rue Lascaris) situated just a few steps away is another place for your special dinner.

Every year new places are opened here. You'll see red vespas, tattoo shops, conceptual interiors and home-decor shops created with style. You'll get into long conversations and spontaneous laughs over a glass of a good wine or speak-easy cocktail.

WANDER AROUND THE OLD TOWN, VIEUX NICE
